Dr. Buchanan has been with Kremer Veterinary Services as a partner since 2003. During this time, he has managed Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic, Care AnimalEmergency, Hinsdale Animal Hospital, and Animal Care Center of Shorewood. Dr. Buchanan has a particular interest in greyhound medicine and in racetrack injuries. He is a 2002 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, after completing his clinical year at the University of Illinois. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.

In his leisure time, Dr. Buchanan enjoys fishing, boating, and spending time with his wife and two sons. His pets currently include one cat and two dogs, a Boston terrier and an American pit bull terrier.
