Dr. Sophia Baer

Dr. Baer joined the Animal Care Center of Shorewood family in 2026. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in 2021, where she also played ice hockey. She went on to attend The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2026.

Dr. Baer has a special interest in surgery and ophthalmology and enjoys the variety of cases that come with practicing general medicine. She especially values the human-animal bond and feels fortunate to help pets live happy, healthy lives alongside the people who love them.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Baer enjoys playing hockey, exploring new places and restaurants, attending sporting events, and spending time with her family.
