Michele Michon-Hayes (goes by Shelly) has been in the veterinary field for 24 years. She started as a receptionist, and only 1 year later she became a vet tech! Shelly started with Animal Care Center of Shorewood in September of 2015 and has been the Practice Manager since November 2019. She has interests in both the dentistry and orthopedic specialties, as well as a passion for assisting in surgeries!

Shelly’s long list of pets include: Dogs – Bindi, Titan, and Drago. Cats – Snarf and Groot. Leopard Gecko named Lucious and three Guinea Pigs named Marshmallow, Caramel, and Butterscotch. She is happily married to her husband Jason. Together they have three children, two daughters Sydney & Sierra, and a son Brent in heaven. Her oldest daughter was born with Hydrocephalus and her son passed away from a Congenital Heart Defect. Raising awareness is what she is wholeheartedly passionate about! She even does tons of charity work for these organizations. Shelly is a die-hard Blackhawks Fan! In her free time, she enjoys playing softball, bowling, volleyball, and spending time with her children.
